Facebook screamed with puns immediately following the news of Michael Jackson's death.
"His heart just couldn't 'Beat It,' or 'Do You Remember the Time,' when he was alive."
Beyond the immediate responses, people on the streets and in the bars Thursday night had many things to say about the King of Pop. It was a night to recollect our first memories of MJ.
His old videos, including the Bollywood and Phillipine's prison versions, not to mention Bubbles the monkey, the rhinestone glove, Neverland Ranch, the awkward fatherhood, and the Pepsi commercial of fire.
But it was really about just wanting to hear Michael. Forget his problems: the marriages, the surgeries, the accusations.
"Smooth Criminal," "Dirty Diana," "Thriller," and that badass knee twist thing he did that we could never quite recreate.
